Oklahoma Judge Removes Online Docket to Thwart Juror Access

According to the Tulsa World, an Oklahoma state judge ordered the removal of the online docket of a medical negligence trial in order to prevent jurors from accessing the docket and papers filed in the case.  The party's lawyers agreed with the removal, which lasted during the duration of the trial.

The judge, Tulsa County District Judge Linda Morrissey, apparently did the same thing in a condemnation case that was tried in March 2010.

Under the orders, during trial searches for the cases on the court's online docket site showed just the case number and the notice, "no record."  The dockets were restored to the site at the conclusion of the trials.
